How Sati Code began
Sati Code was founded in Phuket in 2021 by a small group of software developers and educators who had spent years working in AI and machine learning. What struck them, looking back on their own learning paths, was how much wasted time and stress could have been avoided with better structure and a calmer approach.
The school started with a single programme and a handful of learners. Word spread quietly among people looking for an alternative to the faster-paced, more pressured online courses they had tried elsewhere. By 2023, Sati Code had shaped its current three-programme structure, each carefully scoped so that learners know exactly what they are signing up for.
The name comes from the Pali word for mindful awareness — a quality we think belongs in education as much as in meditation. It does not mean slow for its own sake, but present and deliberate: paying attention to where the learner actually is, not where we might wish they were.

Founder & Lead Educator
Built data pipelines for logistics platforms across Southeast Asia before moving into education. Designed the Foundations Programme curriculum and teaches core AI concepts across all three levels.
Thanawat Rungsri
Machine Learning Mentor
Former ML engineer at a Bangkok fintech firm with a focus on model evaluation and deployment pipelines. Leads Applied Machine Learning and contributes to the advanced programme.
Arisa Montree
Systems & Deployment Specialist
Spent six years building monitoring infrastructure for AI systems at a Singapore-based technology company. Designed the AI Systems & Deployment programme and mentors all advanced learners.

How we maintain quality
Our approach to quality is straightforward: we review and update content regularly, listen to feedback, and hold ourselves to clear standards.
Regular curriculum review
Each programme is reviewed at least once per year for technical accuracy. AI moves quickly; we keep the material current.
Learner feedback integration
We collect written feedback after every programme and use it to adjust content, pacing, and support. Changes are communicated clearly to new learners.
Data privacy & security

Responsible AI in the curriculum
Ethics, bias awareness, and accountability are woven throughout the programmes, not saved for a separate module at the end.

Our Approach
AI development education that fits how people actually learn
At Sati Code, we work with learners who come from a wide range of backgrounds — software developers looking to extend their skills into machine learning, analysts who want to build their own models, and career changers who are approaching the field for the first time. What they share is a preference for learning that is honest and well-organised.
Our three programmes — AI Foundations, Applied Machine Learning, and AI Systems & Deployment — cover the full arc from first principles to production-ready systems. Each one is designed to be genuinely self-contained. A learner completing the Foundations Programme has covered real ground; they are not simply prepared for the next paid step.
We are based in Phuket, Thailand, which means our working culture carries a different rhythm than schools in larger, faster cities. We find this suits our learners well. The programmes are delivered entirely online in English, which means the physical location matters less than the attitude — and our attitude is one of patience and precision.
